A lot of build-it-for-you tools quietly become a cage. Your work lives inside their walls, in a format only they can read, on an address only they control. The day you want to leave, you find you can’t take much with you.
GetForge is built the opposite way. The forge is a head start, not a hostage situation. Three things make that real:
Save to GitHub
Every build has a Save to GitHub button. Press it and the full source pushes to a repo in your own GitHub account — the actual code, yours to read, keep, change, or hand to a developer. Not a snapshot, not an export you can’t use. The real thing.
Connect your own domain
Every build ships on its own address the moment it’s done. When you’re ready to make it properly yours, connect a custom domain with a single CNAME record. Your app, your name over the door. (There’s a short guide for it.)
Host it anywhere
Because you have the source and the domain, you’re never stuck. Keep it with us for the convenience, or take it and host it wherever you like. Both doors stay open.
No lock-in: the product is yours whether it lives with us or not.
Why give you the exit?
Because a tool you can leave is a tool worth staying with. When leaving is easy, staying is a choice you make on the merits — the speed, the shaping, the fact that a sentence becomes a live product in minutes. That’s the deal we want to earn every month, not one we want to trap you into.
Build something. Save it to your GitHub. Point your domain at it. It’s yours.
